I hope I remember every one of you.
I hope we meet again in a few years time,
Over a couple of glasses of wine we’d be legal enough to drink and rich enough to pay for,
And talk about the not-so-good old days,
Laughing away all the hardships like drunken soldiers happy to be home from the war.
I have written your names down, each and everyone of you,
Because though I don’t plan on keeping in touch, I want to remember you.
Human as I am, I have the tendency to forget,
And to forget you will be to forget the pressure that made me a diamond.
I hope we meet again.
